Upper-Division Requirements For HDP Minors

  • All courses must be taken for a letter grade; pass grades are not accepted.
  • All upper-division coursework must be completed with a grade of C- or better.
  • All upper-division courses must be taken exclusively for the HDP minor. Students may not overlap upper-division minor courses to fulfill other major or general education requirements.

ANBI 159 - Biological and Cultural Perspectives on Intelligence
Prerequisites: Upper-division standing, any one of the following: ANTH 2, or ANTH 42, or BILD 3 or consent of instructor.
BICD 100 - Genetics
Prerequisites: BILD 1 or equivalent. (Prerequisites for BILD 1: CHEM 6A & CHEM 6B; CHEM 6B may be taken concurrently.)
BICD 130 - Embryology
Prerequisites: BICD 100, BIBC 100 or BIBC 102. BICD 110 or BIMM 100 strongly recommended.
BICD 134 - Human Reproduction & Development
Prerequisites: BIBC 102 and BICD 100.
BIPN 144 - Developmental Neurobiology
Prerequisites: Upper division standing. Students should have a strong background in biology.
COGS 115 - Neurological Development and Cognitive Change
Prerequisites: BILD 10 (or equivalent), COGS 17 or HDP 110.
COGS 184 - Modeling the Evolution of Cognition
Prerequisites: Programming ability, calculus, and consent of instructor.
PSYC 168 - Psychological Disorders of Childhood
Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
