New HDP 2004 Degree Requirements
Applying for
the Human Development Major:
Beginning
in 2001, students who wish to declare the HDP major must meet pre-major
requirements and apply for entrance into the HDP major. All lower-division
requirements must be fullfilled before applying to the HDP major. All
eight courses must be completed with a grade of C or better (no C minuses
or Pass grades are accepted). The cumulative GPA for the eight lower-division
courses must equal or exceed 2.75. Students must meet with an HDP advisor
and obtain approval to declare the Human Development major before their
senior year.
Grade Requirements for the Major:
A minimum grade-point average of 2.0 in the major is required of all students
seeking the bachelor’s degree in Human Development. Students must receive
a grade of C- or better in all upper-division courses counted toward fulfillment
of the major requirements. All courses taken to satisfy the Program's
lower- and upper-division requirements must be taken for a letter grade.
HDP 1, HDP 150, HDP 181 and HDP 191 must be taken in residence.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PRE-HDP MAJORS

that students who are completing the pre-major classes declare "Pre

regarding courses and curriculum changes from the HDP department are sent
to pre-majors. Students
