Basic Information

Description of the Organization Responsibilities

Senior Community Centers is a non-profit organization founded in 1973. Our mission is to provide quality and compassionate services for the survival, health and independence of seniors living in poverty. We provide physical and mental health services, housing assistance, transitional housing, nutrition, socialization and activities. The Broadway Day Center is a senior nutrition program co-located with wraparound safety net services. There is a Transitional Housing Program, Health Promotion/Harm Reduction Program and Cross Cultural Senior Mental Health Program.

Age(s) of Participants

60 and older.

Research Availability

Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Orientation Requirement

Please schedule an orientation prior to your first visit.  The orientation will last for approximately one hour and will provide an overview of services offered as well as a tour.

Dress Code

Please wear casual but use your best judgment.

Test Requirements

A letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator (Christina Knerr).  You will also need to respect patient confidentiality at all times.
