Basic Information

Description of the Organization Responsibilities

Outpatient Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology, Speech Therapy for children 0-18 years old.

At times, may be asked to assist the therapist in working with a child or helping to grab a piece of equipment.  For the most part, the student will be only observing.  However, students can request to be more involved in therapy sessions under the direction of the therapist.

Age(s) of Participants

0 to 18 years old.

Research Availability

Monday and Wednesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Orientation Requirement

Please schedule an orientation with your site mentor prior to your first visit.

Dress Code

Business (no jeans, no shorts) and closed toed shoes.  Nice jeans are permitted only on Fridays. No piercings other than ears, please.

Testing Requirements

A letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator (Christina Knerr), a TB test, a background check, a signed Clinical Affiliation Agreement, a drug screen, and immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B).  You will also need to respect patient confidentiality at all times.

Please check in with front reception when arriving at site.
