Description of the Organization

The Patrician specializes in full-service rental/retirement senior living serving the Independent Living Residents. Located on Nobel Drive and Cargill, the Patrician is part of the Kisco Senior Living families of multiple communities throughout the U.S states. Kisco’s first retirement community was acquired in 1990 by Andy Kohlberg, our founder and president. The Patrician is close to Westfield Shoppingtowns University Towne Centre, where you’ll find department stores, specialty shops, and delightful dining. We are moments from the renowned La Jolla Playhouse, Birch Aquarium at Scripps, movie theaters, Mission Bay Park and Torrey Pines Golf Course. Life at the Patrician is filled with programs and social events. Our wellness programs are designed to uplift the mind, body and spirit, with classes that focus on fitness and overall well being. We also have lectures, discussion groups, unique classes, social occasions and outings planned throughout the year.

Research Availability

Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Orientation Requirement

Yes.  Please contact Amanda Siphonekham to schedule your first orientation.

Dress Code

Please wear business attire which means no jeans, no shorts, and closed toed shoes.

Testing Requirements

A letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator (Christina Knerr) and a TB test.  Also confidentiality should be observed at all times and you will need to fill out a volunteer packet and return it to the site mentor.

Check-in Procedure

Please check in at main desk and sign in. You will get a name tag from the concierge and then proceed to see the site mentor. Parking is available in the street.
