MBMA is a private pre-school and elementary school through 6th grade. Their purpose is to aid the development of each child to the fullest possible realization of the child's imperious need to learn by doing. It develops the whole personality of the child, not merely his intellectual faculties, but also his powers of deliberation, initiative and independent choice with their emotional complements. Participants will work with individuals who need additional help in reading, math, etc. and assist teachers with special projects.
HDP 191 students should plan to actively participate in the classroom while at site.
Elementary school age.
Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Please set up an orientation with your site mentor before your first visit.
Type of dress is casual and neat with closed toed shoes.
A letter of clearance from the HDP Field Research Coordinator (Christina Knerr) and a TB test. Also confidentiality should be observed at all times. Working with preschool aged children requires LiveScan fingerprinting.
